◎ Network
・ Tethering (Internet sharing) is not available.
・ Even in unlimited high-speed data areas, data speed may vary depending on locations and signal conditions, such as in a subway, in a basement, inside large commercial buildings, and radio wave conditions.
・ The bandwidth control will be applied from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to midnight.
・ If you have surpassed your data limit for the month, your maximum data speed will be 128 Kbps.
・ The Internet connection is provided by Softbank, a major telecommunications carrier in Japan.
◎ Important Notes for Customers Using eSIM
・ Recently, the use of eSIM has become more common. However, even with the latest models, not all mobile phones support eSIM. Therefore, please be sure to check whether your device is compatible with eSIM before applying.
・ We will provide you with a QR code to install the eSIM. This QR code can be used only once and on a single device. After the installation is completed, the eSIM cannot be transferred to another device, and the same QR code cannot be used to install the eSIM on a different device.
・ If you wish to change the device used with your eSIM, a new QR code is required. You can obtain a new QR code by completing the procedure online and paying a handling fee of 1,100 yen (tax included). The phone number will remain the same. It will take approximately 10 to 14 days to receive the new QR code.
◎ Unlocked (SIM-free) Phone
If your phone is SIM-locked, you should contact your domestic carrier to unlock your phone before applying.
◎ Type of SIM card compatible with your phone
If you choose the eSIM type, please make sure your phone can use eSIM. You cannot cancel the contract once you have paid for this service. It is also not possible to switch from an eSIM to a physical SIM card or vice versa.
◎ E-mail address
Please make sure that your email address is correct as the payment information for SIM card will be sent to you through email.
Furthermore, if you select the eSIM plan, a QR code (or activation code) and a confirmation code will also be sent to your email address.
◎ Passport
If you apply before coming to Japan, you will need to register your passport information.

① Monthly credit card payment
You need to register your credit card first. Afterward, the monthly usage fees will be automatically charged to your credit card. The date of auto credit card charge is every 10th of a month (if it's weekend or holidays, moved to the next business day) for the next month usage fee.
※A billing admin fee of 154 yen (tax-in) will be added from the second installment.
② One-time credit card payment
Pay all your basic charges in one payment. In this case, you also need to register your credit card for future possible payments for "call service (domestic)" and "SMS service (domestic or international)".
※ Prorated billing is not available. A full monthly fee will be charged even if the service is started or canceled mid-month.

◎ If you wish to extend the plan, please apply for the extension through our official website one month before the contract expiration date. If you have not applied for the extension by the period above, the SIM card will be automatically disposed of and will not function again. In that case, you need to apply for the new SIM card, incurring an issuance fee of 3,300 yen (tax-in). Please note that the number of the newly issued SIM card will be changed.
◎ For the mid-term cancellation, please note that the earliest cancel-able month is the next month. You need to apply for the cancellation through our website beforehand.
◎ 【Initial Contract Cancellation】: You have the right to cancel the contract in writing within 8 days, starting from the date you receive the contract documents (including the service activation notice, eSIM sent via email, or physical SIM cards delivered to your address or handed over in person). In this case, no cancellation fee will be charged. However, you remain responsible for paying the service fees corresponding to any services used up to the date of cancellation.

Application form for Sun-Net SIM
*If you complete your registration and payment before March 16, you will receive your SIM card as follows:
・Physical Sim :You can receive the Physical SIM card during the orientation session at Saitama University.
・eSIM : Once you have made the required payment, you will receive a QR code (or activation code) and a confirmation code by email 1 to 2 days before the date you want to start using the service.
On 4/4/2026 (Friday): We will hold a SIM briefing session at Saitama University.
